Kelly Boucher, AIA  | Principal

Kelly Boucher brings over twenty-five years of diverse architectural experience to her practice. She began her career in the Boston area, focusing on retail and educational projects. However, her trajectory shifted in 2004 when she joined Boyes-Watson Architects in Somerville, where the firm specialized in housing projects.

Over the past two decades, Kelly has been instrumental in renovating historic homes and constructing new ones in Cambridge. Her portfolio includes hundreds of projects in the area, from award-winning historic preservation initiatives to high-end single-family renovations and affordable housing projects, Kelly's work reflects a commitment to excellence and community impact.

Kelly has been at the forefront of sustainable design and innovation in architecture, with a strong emphasis on Passive House building techniques. Dedication to sustainability is evident in her work, where she integrates energy-efficient solutions and environmentally conscious practices to create buildings that not only enhance the lives of their occupants but also minimize their ecological footprint. As a advocate for sustainable architecture, Kelly continues to push the boundaries of design, demonstrating that responsible building practices can coexist harmoniously with aesthetic excellence and historical preservation.

Beyond her architectural practice, Kelly has made contributions to the field through her teaching endeavors. For eleven years, she was a faculty member at the Boston Architectural College. Additionally, Kelly has been actively involved in local governance, serving on both the Somerville Historic Preservation Commission and as a member of the Somerville Zoning Board of Appeals Planning Board Design Review Committee. Her dedication to architectural education and advocacy for thoughtful urban development underscores her holistic approach to design and community engagement.
